Portable demands N1bn to fight VeryDarkMan, rejects N100m offer

Controversial Nigerian street-pop star, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned down a ₦100 million offer to physically confront outspoken social media critic Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM)—insisting he would only consider it for a staggering ₦1 billion.

The feud between the artist and the internet personality has been heating up, especially after Portable publicly criticized VDM for his attacks on President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

What began as political disagreement has since escalated into a fiery online rivalry, with both parties trading diss tracks, verbal jabs, and drawing massive attention across social media platforms.

In a video posted on Instagram, Nigerian street-hop star Portable dismissed the ₦100 million offer to face off with social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), calling it an insult to his worth.

"That ₦100 million? My fans give me that. It’s too small for me to fight VDM. Let them bring ₦1 billion, I’ll fight him and beat him," Portable declared confidently.

He continued, “If anybody can drop ₦1 billion, I’ll do it. You want me to fight someone you can’t even hold or arrest? You’re scared of him, yet you expect me to take him on?”

The outspoken artist’s comments have further fueled the ongoing drama between the two, keeping fans and social media buzzing.
